The Sanctum of Death stands as a sacred space for transition, rememberance, & renewal. Rooted in Pagan tradition & guided by reverence for the cycles of nature, this work honors death as a continuation of life’s sacred spiral. We offer spiritual care, ceremony, & education to support individuals, families, & communities through all stages of dying, death, & remembrance.
Whether standing at the threshold of life, tending to a loved one’s passing, or seeking to honor your ancestors, The Sanctum of Death welcomes you into compassionate presence.

Debra Jay walks the liminal path between life & death, serving as High Priestess & ordained minister through The Arctic Bonfire. Her work is rooted in devotion to the sacred art of tending death as transformation. Through The Sanctum of Death, she offers deathwork as holy service, weaving together ceremony, compassion, & embodied presence to honor each soul’s passage with reverence & care.
Living & serving on the ancestral lands of Alaska, Debra moves with the knowing that death is not an ending but a continuation, a natural turning of the great cycle. Her practice invites others to remember that in touching death, we touch the deepest currents of life itself.
Through ritual, body work, & sacred companionship, she serves the living, the dying, & the grieving. Her presence helps others find beauty in surrender, healing in remembrance, & belonging in the ever-turning rhythm of birth, decay, & renewal.

The Sanctum of Death is a living altar, a community devoted to restoring reverence, ritual, & tenderness to the way we meet death. We welcome those who feel called to serve at the thresholds, to sit beside the dying, to hold space for grief, & to tend the sacred work of remembering that death is part of life’s great cycle. To volunteer with The Sanctum is to answer a sacred call. It is a chance to weave your compassion into ceremony, to learn the language of presence, & to walk alongside others who honor death as transformation. Whether through gentle companionship, creative offerings, or community ritual, each volunteer becomes part of the circle that keeps this work alive.
If your spirit stirs at these words, we invite you to take the next step. Apply to volunteer with The Sanctum of Death & join us in tending the beauty and mystery of life’s final threshold.
